About
Motivated by his wife's struggle during a power cut, Biju Narayanan 53-year-old innovator designed a Solar Mixie that goes far beyond ordinary blending. Unlike typical kitchen mixers, this solar-powered marvel boasts 15 unique features that transform it into a multifunctional kitchen companion. The mixie can chop vegetables, shred coconut, and even charge mobile phones. It’s equipped with a WiFi modem, smoke detector, and radio, all controlled via remote. Beyond kitchen tasks, it doubles as a vacuum cleaner and includes a built-in 3W emergency light and fan for added convenience.
How it works
The Solar Mixie operates using a solar-powered system that converts sunlight into electrical energy stored in a rechargeable battery. This device runs on direct current (DC), ensuring minimal power consumption. It features an intelligent design that incorporates a reverse current mechanism, allowing the battery to recharge efficiently when connected to solar panels. Internally, the mixie includes an integrated circuit board that manages multiple functions like blending, chopping, and charging, supported by DC motors and microcontrollers. Advanced features like the WiFi modem, smoke detector, and radio are powered through energy-efficient modules linked to the central control unit, enabling seamless multitasking with minimal energy input.
